Vintage iconography meets a sustainable future in the new capsule from the minds of Stella McCartney and Jeff Koons. Honoring a long history of collaboration, the collection takes Koons’ art works and places it onto McCartney’s label’s signature organic textiles.

Playing with Koons’ constant love for dog-themed motifs, McCartney created a provocative updated “Doggy Style” slogan, which is seen in the same vintage font as her past “Slippery When Wet” slogan which was first used for the label’s first collection in 2001. The slogan is paired with images of Koons’ Lindenwood dog sculptures from the 1991 Made in Heaven series and were hand-selected by McCartney herself.

In an exclusive snippet of a conversation between Koons and McCartney shared to V, McCartney admires the juxtaposition of their respective contributions to the collaborative line.

“I just think it’s great, this collaboration, because your images seem to go with my little dog doublet entendre words quite well,” McCartney said.

Koons also divulged that the religious connotation of Lindenwood inspired him to use it to represent the meaning behind his artwork.

“[The sculpture is] made out of Lindenwood, it’s a wood that’s used a lot for church figurines sculptures,” Koons said. “I wanted that type of spirituality, this interaction, this sense of love between these animals.”

Tank tops, hoodies, and t-shirts are adorned with both the old and the new slogans and are complemented with a Koons artwork – ranging from his Untitled (Girl with Dolphin and Monkey)  to illustrations of his Yorkshire Terriers and Poodle sculptures. A chunky turtleneck in RWS-certified wool does a meticulous knit interpretation of the poodle sculpture. The playful, animal-dedicated line also includes collectable totes and keychains to commemorate the limited-edition line.

A full collaborative ready-to-wear line was years in the making for Koons and McCartney. The logos used for the Stella McCartney X Jeff Koons capsule were first seen on the Winter 2025 runway on a t-shirt combining Koons’ Untitled (Girl with Dolphin and Monkey) and Stella McCartney’s Slippery When Wet slogan.

McCartney and Koons also previously partnered on a scaled-down version of his iconic Rabbit sculpture, with McCartney reinterpreting it as a platinum necklace pendant in 2005. Prints of Koons’ Lips, Stream and Pink Bow paintings also appeared in the form of kaleidoscopic gowns for McCartney’s Summer 2006 collection.

More recently, a ‘”K is for Kind” t-shirt also made an appearance in the Spring 2021 McCartney A to Z Manifesto collection, which used the 26 letters of the alphabet to highlight McCartney’s values and favorite artists to support the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children.

The limited-edition line is available now along with the Stella McCartney Spring 2026 collection in stores and online.
