Airbnb just unveiled plans for a new fund dedicated entirely to unique house designs, and they’re looking for the next architect to make their otherworldly, architectural dreams come to life. 

The Unique Airbnb Fund, a $1 million program, will review submitted plans from across the world for unconventional living spaces and provide the financial resources for ten recipients in their architectural endeavors. Airbnb anointed an expert panel for evaluation, which includes actor Billie Porter, host Kristie Wolf and architecture firm MVRDV to decide where Airbnb will put their money. 

Airbnb announced the fund after statistics revealing an increase of nearly 70 percent in searches for unique rentals on Airbnb surfaced, and while the platform does have a plethora to sift through, the Unique Airbnb Fund will elevate that fantasy to new heights. On Airbnb’s initiative, MVRDV architect said that it “makes hospitality exciting. It will empower people to create new spaces with daring, imaginative and fantastic architecture. Personal wunderkammers will be created for guests to appreciate and be inspired by.”

Applications for the fund are open now on the Airbnb website, and winners will be selected on May 15.
