As the year comes to an end, V gives thanks. The holidays always make us a bit nostalgic, and our stroll down memory lane seems to be getting longer and longer. We became a page-turner at the turn of the century with Jude Law in V1: The Premiere Issue, way back in 1999. With 116 issues now under our belt, we're proud to call Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, and Beyoncé just a few of our other V cover stars.

The consumption of trends, music, fashion, and the like has exploded over the past two decades—the advent of the Internet has changed everything. But our growing obsession with the "new" remains deeply rooted in our past, which for us, has always been about finding a beautiful middle ground between pop culture and fashion. Within those two converging worlds, V has paired emerging talent with industry icons to not only discover "the new," but help define it. In doing so, the aforementioned worlds are a little less distant now; pop culture and fashion have become inextricable from one another, something we'll continue to embrace and celebrate for years to come.

The digital world in particular has opened new doors and opportunities for us to engage with our readers. Still, there's nothing quite like flipping through a magazine and gliding your fingers over glossy images that will become or remain iconic for decades. And so V is celebrating this holiday with a back issue archival fair, from V1 to V116 and all the VMANs in between. Whether it's Grace Jones by Jean-Paul-Goude or Britney Spears' comeback, you can find it here. We're also looking to stock up on a few of our rare issues, so get in touch if you have any!

If online shopping's not your thing and you can't make it to 11 Mercer on Friday or Saturday (12pm-7pm), flip through our gallery and learn a bit about who V are.

V Magazine's Debut Edition features Jude Law photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Carine Roitfeld. This debut issue is where it all started! It includes profiles of designers who were emerging then, but established now--including Olivier Theyskens, Jeremy Scott, Nicolas Ghesquiere and Hedi Slimane.
