On the evening of Saturday, March 1, V Magazine landed in Brazil for an exclusive celebration with Ray-Ban during Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival weekend.

Pooling together a wide range of international stars in the realm of fashion, acting, music, and beyond, the special event brought together an exclusive group of guests at the Instituto Brando Barbosa in the Jardim Botânico area, serving as the ultimate hotspot to unveil the arrival of Ray-Ban’s Mega Balorama eyewear model in the country.

The night featured an elite guest list, including models Candice Swanepoel, Ashley Graham, Frida Aasen, and Cindy Mello, fashion stylist and V’s Fashion Director-at-Large Nicola Formichetti, actress Marina Ruy Barbosa, celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur Patrick Ta, musician Rose Villain, influencers Malu Borges, Laura Leão, TV Host & Personality Fernanda Mota, Film Director and personality Enzo Celulari, Entrepreneur Tommaso Chiabra, and more.

With an intimate dinner followed by a lively after party, the evening tapped into the vibrant spirit of Carnival and the effervescence of Rio’s iconic festivities. Ringing in the festivities, Ray-Ban’s President, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, was in attendance, spotlighting the brand’s commitment to innovation and cultural influence. At the heart of the celebration was the Mega Balorama eyewear model—a striking reinvention and evolution of a Ray-Ban classic from the 1960s.

This bold new model blends contemporary aesthetics with the brand’s signature rebellious spirit, available in five dynamic color combinations for those who dare to stand out, adding a modern touch to an iconic piece.
