V Trends: Techno Glam

Juxtaposing the freshest styles with the softness of spring, techno glam is spring’s latest trend.

Couture gets a twist of futurism with the the latest trend of the moment—this season, it’s all about techno glam.

Shot by Erik Lee Snyder, the new-wave looks are dosed with maximalist silhouettes, bold colors and popping fabrics; everything is shiny, new, vivid and evocative. Styled by Aryeh Lappin, Aamito Lagum of Heroes Model Management encapsulates techno glam to the core in a trio of looks: on the left, green monochrome reflects the spirit of spring with a 2 Moncler 1952 jacket and 1 Moncler JW Anderson quilted skirt, topped off with a glossy black DKNY bag; in the center shot, a bubblegum pink K-Way poncho is offset by a breezy canary maxi-skirt with a leg slit, favorably paired with a Tiffany & Co necklace for true glitz to go with the glam; and on the right, an electrifying blue Burberry ensemble co-exists with a mesh Kenzo skirt, bringing voguish avant-garde vibes to the dainty femininity of spring.

The trend wouldn’t be complete without hair and makeup as fresh as the season itself. Aamito presents a natural, dewy complexion done by Yui Ishibashi using FACE makeup and long, simple braids by Yohey Nakatsuka with Bumble and Bumble, underscoring the glam in techno glam.

From left to right, Aamito wears: Jacket 2 Moncler 1952, skirt 1 Moncler JW Anderson, bag DKNY; Poncho and skirt K-WAY, necklace Tiffany & Co; Top and coat Burberry, skirt Kenzo.
