Put away your autumn neutrals—fall is all about color this year.
The star of the season is the full spectrum of the rainbow, stitched into graphic geometric patterns across knits and furs and denim—everything is bold, and everything is saturated. As the leaves of autumn turn, the bright pastels of spring are transitioning to warm fall hues. Some days of fall are made for cozy everyday pieces: Missoni’s zig-zagged pattern in a spectrum of warm colors makes for the perfect maxi, while Dior Men’s navy and black pants are closet staples and Etro and Prada’s chunky knits are the sleekest cozy clothes your closet is begging for. Other days are made for something bold and exciting, a pop of color as the days get shorter. Schiaparelli Couture is all about exaggeration for fall, draped lavender gowns and heavy accessories, while Versace and Prada are dipping into vibrant crimson and cyan hues to bring a breath of fresh air to the season.
Couture or ready-to-wear, turtleneck or trousers, fall is in full color this year.
