A wise woman once said, “We’re all born naked and the rest is drag.” With the spring 2025 collections allowing women everywhere to explore all facets of their being, V invited ten timeless beauties, both familiar and first encounters, to come as they are and allow themselves to transform—proving that our door will always be open for new classics to shine through.

Below, we asked each cover girl about timelessness, beautiful people, and the idea of perfection.

V MAGAZINE: What do you consider to be timeless?

IMAAN HAMMAM: I think confidence and authenticity are truly timeless. Whether it’s in fashion, art, or the way someone carries themselves, staying true to who you are will never go out of style.

V: What was the spark that first made you want to be a model?

IH: Growing up in Amsterdam, I always felt like I looked different from the people around me, but I saw power in my uniqueness. When I was scouted, it felt like a chance to celebrate my heritage and inspire others to embrace theirs.

V: If you could only choose one item in your closet, what would you say is your most precious heirloom?

IH: A piece of jewelry passed down from my mother—it connects me to my Moroccan and Egyptian roots and reminds me of the strength of the women in my family.

V: What everlasting fashion history moment/memory burns the brightest in your mind?

IH: The 1990s supermodel era—Linda , Cindy, Christy, the gang walking together. It was a celebration of individuality and collective power.

V: In the fast-paced world of fashion, what is one thing you think will always be in demand (regardless of trends)?

IH: Diversity. True representation of different cultures, body types, and backgrounds is not a trend—it’s something the world craves and needs.

V: What makes a person beautiful?

IH: Kindness and self-assurance. It’s the way someone makes others feel and the light they carry within themselves that truly defines beauty.

V: Who do you consider to be the most beautiful person you know or admire?

IH: My mother—her grace, resilience, and love have shaped me into who I am.

V: Do you put much thought into creating the “perfect” look when getting dressed for the day? What do you feel most beautiful in?

IH: Not always! I feel most beautiful in something comfortable and effortless—like jeans and a white shirt paired with minimal makeup. Feeling beautiful starts from within, and it’s about how you carry yourself.
