A wise woman once said, “We’re all born naked and the rest is drag.” With the spring 2025 collections allowing women everywhere to explore all facets of their being, invited ten timeless beauties, both familiar and first encounters, to come as they are and allow themselves to transform—proving that our door will always be open for new classics to shine through.

Below, we asked each cover girl about timelessness, beautiful people, and the idea of perfection.

V MAGAZINE: What do you consider to be timeless?

VIVIENNE ROHNER: Writing a letter to somebody! A handwritten letter is a reminder that some things are worth pausing for, that not everything has to be instant or efficient to be meaningful, the act of writing a letter will never be outdated. It requires thought, choosing the right words, finding the right paper, sitting down to physically write it, sealing the envelope, addressing it, mailing it. It takes time and effort, making it a meaningful gesture.

V: What was the spark that first made you want to be a model?

VR: It wasn’t so much a spark as [Modeling] was a slow, inevitable pull—something I was always meant to do without fully realizing it. Looking back, I see how much I have evolved creatively, how my confidence has deepened, and how I have learned to navigate this industry in a way that feels authentic to me. That inner, subconscious urge to leave behind comfort and the familiar, it all makes sense now! And ever since I became aware of it, I find myself both conscious of—and sometimes surprised by—the fact that I listened to my instincts. I have learned to trust and honor them, along with my feelings and needs. Befriending myself early on became one of my greatest advantages, it allowed me to keep going, to push my limits, and to move forward with conviction,

V: If you could only choose one item in your closet, what would you say is your most precious heirloom?

VR: Without a doubt, my engagement ring. It’s a symbol of love, commitment, and a deeply personal story that I carry with me every day. It reminds me of what truly matters, beyond fashion and appearances—the weight of memory, of promise, of presence. It’s the only thing I wear that truly feels like it belongs to me, not just in the physical sense, but in a deeper, more inherent way. It’s the kind of piece that outlives trends and seasons and hopefully even me.

V: What everlasting fashion history moment/memory burns the brightest in your mind?

VR: David Bowie.

V: In the fast-paced world of fashion, what is one thing you think will always be in demand (regardless of trends)?

VR: Effortlessness—the kind that can not be fabricated and can’t be taught or bought.

V: What makes a person beautiful?

VR: When someone is unapologetically themselves, that energy is magnetic.”

V: Who do you consider to be the most beautiful person you know or admire?

VR: There are two sides to this coin to me as beauty is relative. The most beautiful people are the ones who make me feel something, who leave a presence in the room, even after they’ve left it. And sometimes I don’t need a “presence” or a “mystique” to justify someone’s beauty to myself . They’re just objectively, undeniably, painfully gorgeous. And sometimes, that’s enough.

V: Do you put much thought into creating the “perfect” look when getting dressed for the day? What do you feel most beautiful in?

VR: I don’t believe in perfection when getting dressed, but I do believe in intention. When I get dressed, I want to feel comfortable and true to myself and therefore automatically always becomes an extension of who I am.

Which changes and refines and starts all over again … as taste and inspiration and feelings evolve in my life year by year. I never get stuck up on one thing only.

Loving change can change a lot for oneself.
