V161: Fall Head Over Heels with Amelia Gray

As autumn breezes in, V are turning over a new leaf with the world’s most exciting models of the moment, whose fearless style inspires us for the season ahead
From Beverly Hills to global runways, there’s no one more fierce and fearless than Amelia Gray. Lighting catwalks on fire around the world, she’s defining her own new-gen raven-esque signature look with each new show, campaign, and cover she graces.

V: What do you want people to know about modeling that you don’t think they do?
Amelia Gray: Modeling is a form of acting. It is a collaboration between the model, a designer, a photographer, and a glam team. Everyone works together to create the perfect character. It’s just the best feeling in the world to create with others.

V: How do you think modeling will change moving forward?
AG: I hope it only changes for the best. I hope that creativity never dies. That people continue to push the envelope and question what fashion truly means in society.

V: What does growth mean to you as a person and as a model?
AG: Growth to me means pain. It means discomfort. It’s usually hard…but it’s so vital as a human being and as a model to grow. As we grow, we learn the importance of boundaries, something that is very important as both a girl and a model. I think that humans are ever-evolving creatures, and to grow means to live.
