Taking a break from its co-ed setup of the last three years, Valentino will unveil their upcoming spring/summer collection titled “The Narratives” in Milan on June 16.

The collection will debut at the Università degli Studi di Milano Statale to continue Valentino’s unwavering support of local communities and new generations that nurture artistic talents by creating cultural learning opportunities within institutions and universities. The choice of Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli to show on the opening day of Milano Fashion Week, at a time when the university is alive and swarming with students, is an invitation for students to experience the show live at the Statale di Milano and opens a full immersion into Maison’s world of savoir-faire and innovation for the next generation of creatives.

For the Maison, the decision to show in the city of Milan holds great significance. Milan holds both the key to the history and roadmap to innovation for the brand, as Milan was the place where Mr. Valentino Garvani staged his very first menswear show over 38 years ago. Buzzing with underground energy and cultural movements, it is in this city that Pierpaolo Piccioli will reimagine the codes of menswear today and push the male wardrobe in an ever more contemporary direction. Menswear will now be put on a pedestal– a symbol of Piccioli’s redefinition of masculinity and the growing importance of the category from Maison’s business branch. And with the power of the Maison behind him, Piccioli will iterate on the staples that push menswear into something more open and further the bounds of formalwear.

“The Narratives” Menswear show will be streamed June 16th 2023, at 2.00pm live on Valentino.com and through the maison’s social channels.
