Closing out couture week with a showstopping collection, designer Pierpaolo Piccioli's Valentino Fall 2018 haute couture is a supremely decadent look into the way creativity and influence is translated through the art of fashion. Bringing together the worlds of Greek mythology and heightened glamour, Piccioli has conjured a lineup of breathtaking gowns, capes, and headdresses that glide through a room and effortlessly direct every available gaze upon them.

Fearlessly delivering a seemingly endless palette of saturated color and form, each floor length masterpiece, one after another, is a celebration of intricate craftsmanship and imagination. A climax occurs when modern muse and current face of youth Kaia Gerber emerges into through the doorway in a domineeringly elegant feathered gown and elevated blowout hair styling.

Giving this runway it's undeniable magic touch, legendary hair designer Guido Palau produces over the top, glamorously larger than life do's and stylings, reminding spectators that indeed couture does not only mean clothing.

Receiving a well deserved standing ovation upon finale prompted by Mr. Valentino himself, Pierpaolo Piccioli's Fall 2018 body of work vibrantly presents itself in full bloom. An exciting moment for Piccioli, for design, for the fashion world, but most of all, for couture. Bravo, Pierpaolo! Bravo!
