Versace Reveals Spring/Summer ’21 Collection At Milan Fashion Week

The Italian luxury fashion house brings nautical motifs to a playful, vibrant new collection.

The city of Versacepolis made its runway debut at Milan Fashion Week today—a lost land of marble ruins and undersea shadows tucked away, populated by finely dressed men and women in the bold, vibrant Versace Spring/Summer ‘21 collection.

The elevated casuals from the Italian luxury fashion house seamlessly integrate Versace’s signature refined, elegant apparel with a fun color palette—bubbly pinks, vivid reds, and playful hues of blue, yellow, and green dot their looks—and nautical motif teasing a forgotten Atlantis, with starfish, clamshells, and sailor prints bringing mer-person realness to the runway.

Standout pieces from the SS21 collection imbue polished fine luxury with whimsical everyday contemporary: completely bejeweled clamshell bra cups with gold starfish details, a sleek black cropped tank and miniskirt set with gold Versace embellishments, and a white men’s tracksuit with a nautical motif print.

The fashion house, founded by Gianni Versace in 1978, continues to flourish under the artistic direction of Donatella Versace. Even down to the finest details (light blue tube socks with the printed logo, a neon yellow bag for a pop of color, or bold pastel lilac platforms for a statement shoe), Versace doesn’t miss, and makes us wish Versacepolis, the sea kingdom of high fashion and luxury apparel, could be our next travel destination.
