Victoria Beckham May Reunite with the Spice Girls for Glastonbury 2020

Could it be true?!

There doesn’t seem to be a month that goes by without a murmur of a Spice Girl reunion. The latest is that the Spice Girls will reunite as a five-piece for Glastonbury 2020. That’s right, Victoria Beckham is rumored to be joining her former bandmates to celebrate the legendary festival’s 50th birthday.

The news came from Scary Spice herself, who spilled the T’ to Mo Gilligan on The Lateish Show. “Funnily enough, my mum was at her mum’s summer party and Victoria was there, and she did actually mention to my mum that she’d love to do Glastonbury for their 50th next year. it’s not just me saying it, she actually did say that to my mum.” Whether or not it comes into fruition it’s what die-hard fans have been waiting for.

Baby, Scary, Ginger and Sporty reunited in May for a handful of shows across the UK. While the tour was a success most fans were hoping for a last-minute cameo from Beckham, following speculation that Posh would join in for one of their Wembley shows. But even though Beckham did not join the girls this go-around, plenty of their celeb fans did: V cover star Sam Smith, Emma Stone and Lily Collins all attended the group’s London gigs.

During their heyday in the ’90s, the girls had the world at their feet: two albums, a hit movie, and major product endorsements were just a few measures of their power. The Spice Girl fandom has since remained strong and the demand for reunion tours has never faded. A bit of history for you: Geri left the band in 1998, the girls released one studio album before pursuing solo careers (remember Mel-B’s collaboration with Missy Elliot?). The band then reformed as a five-piece come 2007 for a performance at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which preceded their massive world tour, on which they presented stage costumes designed by Roberto Cavalli. Of course, who could ever forget that 2012 saw the girls reunite for a special one-off performance to close the Olympic Games in London? But I digress.

The promise of a Vicky-B rejoining the group has given us major nostalgic feels. With this in mind, we take a retrospective look at the groups greatest looks.
