Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Air Jordan 5 Collaboration Finds a New Rumored Release Date

Sadly, it might be later than we thought.

A Hypebeast frenzy ensued when Virgil Abloh dropped the first iteration of the highly-anticipated iteration Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 5 sneaker, and now, there’s a new silhouette on its way. Earlier this year, Abloh shared a new colorway of the same design on his Instagram, and sneakerheads were quick to notice an updated tongue in fully-reflective, silver fabric and the design’s signature synthetic ripstop upper boasting a new cream colorway.

When news first leaked, rumors circulated that the second colorway would drop sometime in the summer; however, due to coronavirus threats, the trusted leak account @zsneakerheadz now claims the designs will hit shelves later this year during the holiday season.

Other sneaker theorists have drafted mockup designs of a potential third colorway pictured below, which is rumored to be dropping with the new design Abloh has already showed on Instagram. Each of these silhouettes would follow in suit with the visionary’s Air Jordan 1 collaborations that first dropped in 2017 and 2018 as part of “The Ten,” but only time will reveal Abloh’s true plans for the upcoming, high-fashion sneakers.

Take a look at the mockup designs, below.
