Vroom Vroom: 1966 Ferarri 275 GTS
This rare, Pininfarina-designed vehicle is now up for sale.
With only 200 models in existance, a vintage 1966 Ferarri 275 GTS is now being sold by Auxietre & Schmidt. This rare car — designated as the 114th example — was designed by the revered Italian coachbuilder and design firm, Pininfarina.
Besides its sleek, Nero black exterior, the 275 GTS can push out 260 horsepower at 7,000rpm with its GTS Colombo-type 60-degree V12 engine. Originally supplied for the US market by Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, CT, this Italian car eventually relocated to the UK. Its primary Argento exterior was painted red, complemented by a black leather interior. The Ferarri 275 GTS remained with Swiss collector Alain Hotz until 2007, and later received the Classiche Certification. Its current owner restored the vehicle through Roelofs Engineering between 2012-2013, refurbishing this 275 GTS in its latest Nero finish with a Cognac leather interior.
