VROOM VROOM: Rolls Royce Debuts First Electric Coupé

Welcome to the Electric age, Rolls Royce!

After some stalling and twiddling their thumbs, Rolls Royce has finally begun production on electric vehicles. The wait may just have been worth it, though. Introducing Spectre, Rolls Royce’s first-ever electric coupé. Sleek and beautifully built, Spectre is perfect for the car enthusiast looking to limit their carbon footprint.

Though it’s their first electric vehicle, Spectre upholds many of the classic Rolls Royce features. The vertical brightwork of the tail lights pays homage to the iconic Illuminated Grille and its upright vanes, while a system of 141,200 sender-receiver functions makes the car function like a complex neural system.

The electric coupé is also visually stunning, drawing attention to both the classic Rolls Royce finishings on the outside and the beautiful interior. 4,796 backlit perforations create a background that shines like a sky full of stars, making a ride in a Spectre an almost celestial experience. These perforations glide from the roof of the car to the side detailing, surrounding a rider in their heavenly light.

Rolls Royce entering the electric car market is a big step for luxury climate-friendly vehicles. Where Tesla was once the only option, other high-end brands are slowly entering the space inch by inch and providing a diversity of choices. Rolls Royce has made a big step with the Spectre; now we wait and see which luxury car company will come aboard next.
