March may be in its final week, but don’t worry – the new releases this spring are just beginning. This week boasts one of music’s all-time biggest names, the one and only Beyoncé, in one of the most fascinating and highly-anticipated projects of her career thus far – which is already a high bar to meet. In addition, rising pop artist Micah McLaurin’s latest single “Don’t Give Up On Love” is out, while j-hope’s newest EP and accompanying short film are officially released. Indie-pop darling Maude Latour is also back with her latest track ahead of her next gig as an opener for FLETCHER’s North American tour. Check out these new releases and add them to your playlist!

Beyoncé, “COWBOY CARTER”

Beyoncé’s latest album serves as many things: a follow-up to her critically acclaimed RENAISSANCE, the second installment or “ACT II” in her three-part series of albums, and her official entryway into the country sphere, on her own terms. Beyoncé has always been a genre-bender, and has dabbled in country experimentations in the past on songs like Lemonade’s “Daddy Lessons,” but with COWBOY CARTER, she utilizes country elements, including reimagined classics with appearances from legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, to create a 27-track, immersive storytelling experience. The project even includes an incredible surprise collaboration with Miley Cyrus on “II MOST WANTED” – what more could we want?

j-hope, “HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1”

j-hope of BTS is finally back with his highly-anticipated project HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1. The project marks his first album in seven months following the release of his critically acclaimed solo album Jack In The Box (HOPE Edition). The special project centers around j-hope’s artistic roots and showcases his artistic depth both as a performer and a songwriter. The collection of six tracks includes four entirely new tracks and collaborations with bandmate Jung Kook of BTS, Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers, HUH YUNJIN, JINBO the SuperFreak, Gaeko, YOON MIRAE.

Micah McLaurin, “Don’t Give Up On Love”

Rising pop artist Micah McLaurin is back with his new single “Don’t Give Up On Love” – the disco anthem is accompanied by a behind-the-scenes rehearsal video showcasing McLaurin’s journey from musician to dancer. The retro pop track is produced by PhD, Nick Patrick, and Trevor Muzzy.

Maude Latour, “Too Slow”

Rising star and alt-pop darling Maude Latour is back with her latest single “Too Slow,” offering fans a first look at her highly-anticipated debut album set to arrive this summer ahead of her tour alongside FLETCHER this fall. The euphoric anthem is the start of her new era following four EPs since 2020, earning Latour her status as a rising star to watch this year.
