As the first week of September comes to a close and the start of fall is in full swing, our favorite artists’ new releases mirror the new beginnings that a change in seasons often signifies. Rising K-Pop group RIIZE is back with their latest single, while Fred again.. is teaming up with The Japanese House on his latest project. ASTN returns with a brand-new EP, while BIZZY and Abigail Barlow are each releasing incredible new tracks. Add these new releases and more to your September playlist below!

RIIZE, “Combo”

Invigoratingly fresh K-Pop group RIIZE is back with a brand-new track “Combo” as part of RIIZING : Epilogue – The 1st Mini Album, marking the one-year anniversary since the group’s debut and following the release of their first mini album RIIZING. The alternative pop-rock anthem further showcases the group’s incredible versatility, expanding their sound. 

The Japanese House & Fred again.., “backseat”

Indie-pop rising star The Japanese House’s collaboration with international EDM sensation Fred again.. perfectly combines the two artists’ distinctive styles. “backseat” appears on Fred again..’s new album ten days and interpolates The Japanese House’s contemplative track “Sunshine Baby,” focusing on the song’s hook “Sitting in the backseat, driving with my sunshine baby.”

ASTN, “WHAT A NIGHT TO BE IN LOVE”

Rising R&B and pop sensation ASTN’s new EP WHAT A NIGHT TO BE IN LOVE encapsulates his brand of soul-infused pop with some of his most vulnerable tracks yet. The five-track project opens with a collaboration, “Two Truths And A Lie,” featuring Vietnamese singer-songwriter thuy, alongside an accompanying music video.

BIZZY, “Default Setting”

Nashville-based rising alt-pop artist BIZZY is back with an angsty, brutally-honest single, “Default Setting,” which details her desire to break free from the familiar patterns in favor of embracing new experiences and relationships. Soft guitar strums combine with raw lyrics and powerful vocals to immerse the listener in her experience.

Abigail Barlow, “Strike Out”

Grammy-winning artist, singer, songwriter, composer, and rising star Abigail Barlow is back with her third release of the year – “Strike Out” utilizes her signature pop production and striking vocals as she celebrates her freedom to authentically express herself with confidence.

Baekhyun, “Pineapple Slice”
