V’s Skincare Must-Haves

Whether you’re facing dark spots or chapped lips, our list of recommendations has your back—or rather, your face.

With the seasons slowly tumbling toward winter, the global pandemic still looming in the air, and the overwhelming tasks of daily life not hitting pause to accommodate it all, it’s only natural for our skin to react to all the stress.

But just because masks, heavy coats and booked calendars are our new normal doesn’t mean breakouts, blackheads and dry skin have to be. Below, we’re spilling our current favorite skincare products—it’s time to go from dull to dewy.

Berber Botanical Serum by Caralista ($75)

With a blend of amino oils and specialty seeds, your skin doesn’t have to be afraid of cold weather anymore. This serum is ultra-hydrating and replenishes your natural oils so your skin doesn’t get stripped of moisture, making it perfect for bouncy, luminous skin (even if it is under a mask!).

Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner by OLEHENRIKSEN ($29)

Say bye-bye to dark marks and hello to an even skin tone. We all know a toner is essential to any good skin care regime, and this AHA-packed, potent one from OLEHENRIKSEN will reduce discoloration in as little as a week.

Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream by La Mer ($95)

While the infamous La Mer moisturizer is without a doubt on the pricier end of skincare retail, it’s not without good reason. After all, what’s a better thing to invest in than your own skin? Packed with rich nutrients, the luxury moisturizer will have your skin soft, supple and smooth—a high-end masterpiece.

AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution by The Ordinary ($8)

Really, no skincare roundup would be complete without at least one product by The Ordinary. And this is one of our absolute favorites—it may give you a bloody, vampire-y appearance while you have the red serum on your face, but once you take it off, you’ll see how thoroughly the AHAs and BHAs target discoloration, aging and textural irregularities in your skin. Perfect for before bed…or Halloween!

Thermafoliant Body Scrub by Dermalogica ($44)

When we say skincare, we’ve got all of you covered, not just your face. With a blend of tea tree oil and grapefruit oil, bamboo stem, and licorice and chamomile extracts, this body scrub will renew your cells, promote smooth skin and have you feeling and looking fresher than ever. It’s a spa treatment in a bottle.

Living Cleansing Balm by Then I Met You ($38)

Formulated for all skin types, this oil-based cleanser will remove makeup and oils from your skin, leaving it soft and clean.

Super Pure Serum by Glossier ($28)

This top-rated serum really is magic in a bottle, so long as magic is a super-powerful blend of niacinamide and zinc. Though the formula is light as water, it does wonders for your skin, transforming it into a clear and balanced surface within weeks.

Dry and chapped lips are never fun, and with cold weather approaching fast, it’s absolutely vital to get your hands on a good lip balm for plump and supple lips all season. With avocado and mongongo oil, Drunk Elephant has you covered, formulating a hydrating and protective lip balm.
