The unofficial music video for Lana Del Rey's “Honeymoon,” the title track off her latest album which was released nearly a year ago, has been circling the Internet. Though the star had uploaded teasers last summer, the complete edit was never released because “nothing really happened in it,” (according to the singer). Luckily for fans of Del Rey, we received a plethora of other videos from the critically acclaimed album.
With close-ups of her flawless complexion and sultry smile, we watch Del Rey as she drifts through an empty house applying makeup, eventually settling down beside a bustling highway for a picnic. In true Del Rey fashion, the homestyle clips are grainy and muddled, with flashing shots of a pacing tiger contrasted with black and white images of evening traffic. Despite an apparent lack of overt depth, there is a haunting gracefulness to the production, harking back to her earlier videos ("Video Games" included).
