Larry David may have been the host of Saturday Night Live this weekend, but it was musical guest Miley Cyrus who stole the show. The multi-platinum artist returned to the SNL stage to perform two standout cuts from her new album Younger Now and managed to sneak her way into two skits during the show. In an assuredly ironic move, Cyrus portrayed a Chris Hemsworth superfan during a Price Is Right: Celebrity Edition sketch, complete with a cameo from her boyfriend and actual Hemsworth brother Liam.

The singer also appeared in The Baby Step, where she transformed into an infant rapper alongside stars Kenan Thompson and Pete Davidson, much to the host's dismay. This is cringeworthy in theory, but hardly uncharted territory considering her controversial "BB Talk" video.

But as usual, Miley shined the most with her mic on stage. The artist gave a bluesy, high-intensity performance of "Bad Mood," changing the lyrics to reflect our frustration at the current political climate and refusing to hold back her emotions. But never one to leave us in turmoil, she also delivered a comforting and delicate rendition of "I Would Die for You," likely not a coincidental choice considering who was watching backstage. Watch the powerful performances below.
