Watch Tame Impala Perform “Is It True” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
The famed vocalist shared an all-encompassing performance as a virtual guest on the late night television show.
Last night, Kevin Parker, the musical mastermind behind Tame Impala, appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and performed a colorful rendition of “Is It True” off of his most recent studio album The Slow Rush. Three vivid panels featured Parker playing the bass, strumming the guitar, and singing the song simultaneously for viewers to enjoy a multi-faceted arrangement in a well-put-together video from his studio in Western Australia.
Released in February, The Slow Rush marks Parker’s fourth album as Tame Impala, his now globally acclaimed performing identity. With the tracklist, Parker obtained his second #1 in Australia, his highest charting album in the US and the UK, and 14 top chart positions across the world.
Aside from the album’s release, Parker has played a multitude of sold-out arena shows, including two legendary nights at the Los Angeles Forum. Earlier this year, the multi-talented musician released an alternate “Imaginary Place” mix of his album, and he dropped a slew of collaborations, one most notably with The Streets on a song called “Call My Phone Thinking I’m Doing Nothing Better.”
