There is no denying the iconic status of Jamaican singer/songwriter/supermodel Grace Jones, but at the very minimum, the legendary fashion star is a human with a whirlwind of a story. This is the raw, undisclosed tale that unfolds in the forthcoming documentary about the icon, Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami.

A new trailer for the film directed by Sophie Fiennes has been released ahead of its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival tonight. In the clip, Jones pleads, “Listen to me, I’m human, man. I’m human,” revealing an intimate side to the major artist to go behind the glamour of the signature high cheekbone face to tell the story of her humble beginnings and how she became the icon that she is. As previewed by the trailer, the highly anticipated film is set to feature candid moments from behind the scenes of Jones’ life in the spotlight, as well as career highlights performing center stage.

Watch the trailer for Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami below for a brief look at the New Wave legend's avant garde looks and vulnerable side ahead of the chronicling documentary's release, slated for cinemas October 25.
