This is the year of the crossover: musicians becoming designers, designers becoming artists, designers becoming filmmakers, and Wes Anderson is now joining the ranks.  The famed filmmaker will be co-curating an art exhibit with his partner Juman Malouf at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna in September. So start booking your flight and searching for the perfect Airbnb.

This pair is bound to put on a captivating show, as they are both artists within their own right. Malouf, famed illustrator and costume designer, will be joining Anderson to choose from an extensive collection of archives that include Greco-Roman weapons, armor, antiquities, and musical instruments, and integrating it with imperial carriages and sleighs from the Wagenburg Museum to create a virtual portal back to the Greek and Roman empires.

Anderson and Malouf could not be a more perfect duo for the curation of the exhibit. Malouf’s personal style of a classic Victorian lady has earned her the title of the rumored muse for Gucci, and of course Anderson’s unique brand of portraying the quizzical nature of melancholy through whimsical film.
