Lady Gaga is up to something. The V superstar has been taking refuge in her Malibu dreamland after being forced to cancel the last ten dates of her Joanne World Tour in Europe, but ever since she’s returned to her hometown of New York last week, she’s been serving absolute looks left and right. We’ve gone back to the days where Gaga walks into a place in one look and leaves wearing something entirely different, and we’re living for it. Media outlets are already calling her sleek outfits a style re-invention and refreshing makeover, but this is simply par for the course with Mother Monster. The real thought that’s on every fan’s mind: What is Lady Gaga up to?

Gaga has been spotted at Electric Lady Studios, the famed spot where she recorded much of Joanne, nearly every day for the past week. While we could assume that she’s continuing work on her next studio album (she’s been in the studio in LA with BloodPop and Boys Noize), what’s most interesting is the person who keeps showing up as well: Tony Bennett. The jazz legend has also been spotted at Electric Lady multiple times throughout the week, which could mean that the long-promised sequel to him and the Lady’s collaborative album Cheek to Cheek is in the works.

Intriguingly, the looks she’s been sporting would fit well with the jazz vibes she’s been feeling, assuming she actually is recording with Tony. This past week, the star has sported classic ‘60s prints, like a houndstooth dress and a killer leopard jumpsuit, and preppy vintage-esque looks, like a black mod mini-dress and her collared Fendi get-up (as seen on her Instagram), but giving them her avant-garde twist. No one else would ditch a classic leopard blazer or dress in favor of a larger-than-life overcoat and lengthy boots, single-handedly making the overdone trend feel fresh once again. If you needed even more potential evidence, the singer also surprised guests at the Rose Bar by hopping on stage and singing with longtime friend, and yet another jazzman, Brian Newman, during his show Thursday night. Will we see him on this speculated Cheek 2 Cheek? (oh, the funny titles we could come up with.)

Of course, nothing may be happening at all. Even if she's just stopping by to hang with Tony or put finishing touches on the upcoming A Star Is Born soundtrack, she's given us enough gifts this week to last us for a good while. We are truly blessed. Take a peek at her street-stopping New York looks below as we keep on the lookout for more to come.
