As exporters of culture go, California undoubtedly pulls more than its weight. From the SoCal surf scene to the music, cuisine, and fashion of the state’s Latino population, California has once again found itself at the center of the American cultural zeitgeist. From the surf world, we got the UGG brand, and from the Mexican diaspora in California, we got Willy Chavarria, the fashion designer whose outspokenness on political and social injustice earned him a spot in Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in 2025. These two cultural forces now meet in a collection titled “UGG and Kisses,” and explore the depth of California biker culture. The ensemble features beloved codes of both UGG and Chavarria’s eponymous label, from UGG’s signature sheepskin to the gritty realness that Chavarria has garnered a global reputation for capturing.

“UGG and Kisses” introduces five new footwear styles, all crafted with the same thick full-grain exterior of a classic biker boot and the soft inner lining that has defined the UGG brand for decades. Chavarria added his flair through custom chrome hardware on the three featured boots, signature jersey lining in the Otzo Clog, and the Willy Chavarria crest logo embroidered on the Hotel Chavarria Slipper.

The campaign itself brings together an exciting ensemble of Latin celebrities: Eva Longoria, Danny Trejo, Becky G, and Ivan Cornejo. Visually, the crew is wrapped in the dark black leather associated with a crew of bikers looking for trouble, though their expressions and demeanors invite an immensely welcoming feeling to the campaign’s center. “We’ve designed this collection to be fierce and friendly. The archival influence of leather culture wrapped in the warmth and intimacy that only UGG can provide,” says Chavarria in a statement. “UGG and I remind you that you are untouchable and you are loved. This is my love letter to the outlaw in you.”
