Willy Chavarria’s Comunión for Spring/Summer 2027

Heritage, reimagined for today

For Spring/Summer 2027, Willy Chavarria looked inward. Titled Comunión, the collection explored the people, places, and objects that shape our sense of belonging, using clothing as a way to reflect on shared histories rather than individual narratives. The result was a lineup that felt deeply personal while remaining unmistakably rooted in Chavarria’s signature language.

The designer expanded his tailoring vocabulary with sculptural suiting, oversized shirting, padded knits, and pleated dresses with commanding shoulders. Elsewhere, lace gowns, silk slips, and organza finished with heat-pressed vinyl flowers introduced a softer counterpoint, while faded florals and washed shades referenced familiar domestic interiors—from embroidered handkerchiefs to worn kitchen walls and patterned table linens.

Womenswear continued to claim more space within the collection, mixing precise tailoring with fluid silhouettes and playful proportions. Cropped jackets, leather miniskirts, draped dresses, and pencil skirts layered over boxer shorts reflected the label’s ongoing balance between structure and ease, reinforcing a vision of femininity that feels confident without sacrificing practicality.

The show also unveiled the first chapter of Willy Chavarria’s collaboration with UGG®, introducing three unisex footwear styles that merged the rugged attitude of biker culture with the comfort associated with the heritage brand. The partnership extends a conversation both labels have long embraced: fashion as a vehicle for identity, community, and self-expression.

Guests were welcomed by the earthy scent of XINÚ’s FlordeMusgo and received handcrafted driftwood keepsakes created especially for the presentation, while backstage, The Ordinary, M·A·C Cosmetics, and hairstylist Chris McMillan contributed to a stripped-back beauty direction that echoed the collection’s quiet confidence.

Instead of waiting for the collection to arrive in stores months from now, audiences will be able to virtually try on every runway look through an AI-powered platform launching after Paris Fashion Week, offering a new way to experience Chavarria’s latest chapter long after the lights go down.
