The name Winona Ryder is synonymous with all things 90s pop culture. And hopping on the nostalgic renaissance of the decade’s style, Jimmy Choo has cast the former V86 cover star in its Autumn 2024 campaign dubbed, Glamour Refined.
The collection embodies the pared-back style and cultural reset the late 90s gifted the worlds of film and music and the inspired movers and shakers of the era.
“Winona is an icon,” proclaims Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi. “We are contemporaries, we were both in our early 20s in the ‘90s. Her films and her style are symbolic of the decade. Winona’s talent combined with her individuality felt perfect to present this collection.”
These fresh must-haves intentionally tie together the spirit of London and the unwavering sense of New York, two cities that undoubtedly shaped the decade’s most distinct aesthetics, cultivating moments of both major minimalism and effortless maximalism.
“This collection is about exploring a quintessentially British interpretation of a ladylike aesthetic,” Choi details. “I was reminiscing on that moment in the 1990s when different worlds collided – models, the YBAs and socialites, it was also when Jimmy Choo was born. There was a distinct minimalism, a classicism, but always with an element of eccentricity. It made it fundamentally British, and distinctly Jimmy Choo.”
