The breakout star of ABC’s black-ish will represent the house as its Global Brand Ambassador for Women’s Fashion and Makeup.

Yara Shahidi will partner with Dior as its new Global Brand Ambassador for Women’s Fashion and Makeup.

The award-winning actress, producer and breakout star of ABC’s Emmy-and Golden Globe-nominated series black-ish is a standout voice of her generation, bringing fresh perspectives and insight in both her on and off-screen pursuits.

Celebrating the designs and creations of Women’s Creative Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, and Creative and Image Director of Makeup, Peter Philips, Shahidi’s collaboration is infused with her youthful energy and power. As a young artist passionate about inclusivity in media and an advocate for equity, Shahidi has engaged in conversations with several prominent politicians and activists.

Inspired by her extensive work with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Shahidi founded Eighteen x 18 in 2016, now known as WeVoteNext, to shine a light on Gen Z and BIPOC inclusion in the political process.

Shahidi has been in Hollywood since childhood, with film credits spanning over a decade. She is now the executive producer and lead of the Freeform spinoff series, grown-ish.

But that’s not all.

In addition to her creative endeavours, Shahidi is a full-time student at Harvard University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies and African American Studies.

Her work in social activism, using her platform for change and advancement both inside and outside of the creative world, makes her a powerful ambassador for the brand. Shahidi represents the strength, resiliency and agency of change of the upcoming generation – and it appears Dior is ready for it.
