Ye’s Impact on Julia Fox’s Glam

The actress has made some changes to her personal style in the month she’s dated Kanye West.

If you didn’t know know who Julia Fox was before this month, that’s okay, but you’re behind. The “Uncut Gems” actress made waves in early January when she wrote all about her “instant connection” with Kanye West when they met on New Years Eve for Interview Magazine. Since then, the waves have just gotten bigger, taking her from New York to Miami, and even across the Atlantic to Paris Fashion Week.

Being in such a public relationship, and with Ye, no less, means that Fox’s look is of the utmost importance. In fact, on the couple’s much talked about second date, the rapper and designer surprised her with a hotel room full of clothes. She chose a stunning blue and black Sies Marjan coat for the occasion, and followed-up with a daring look of low-rise black pants with an exposed thong for their dinner date (or was it a photo shoot?) at Carbone. Her makeup remained as neutral as her outfits weren’t, with a classic pink nude lip and shimmering eyeshadow.

Now, as she takes on the high-fashion scene in Paris, her glam has taken a decisively “Ye” turn, as tends to happen when the designer choses a new muse. At the Kenzo Fall-Winter 2022 show, Fox and West had their very own Britney and Justin at the 2001 AMA’s moment. Fox sported a cone bra denim top with another pair of low rise pants and giant Schiaparelli earrings. But the Canadian tuxedo wasn’t even the most striking detail of the look: it was Fox’s dramatic black winged eye makeup, paired with a fully slicked back bun.

Fox then went on to one-up her own look the following day at the Schiaparelli presentation, sporting a somehow even thicker graphic winged eye in a look created by British makeup artist Pat McGrath (while donning a matching leather outfit with Ye). In true Ye style, he took her look even further for their date later that night in Paris, drawing the winged liner way past her brows himself for a little bit of a black swan-esque look.

In her pre-Ye looks, Fox still dressed to impress. Largely opting for chic, understated looks and always going for a nude lip and bright eye, Fox stunned while keeping it simple on the red carpet. Only occasionally did she break out of her personal black, white, and grey color scheme. It’s safe to say Ye has had a huge impact on her personal style – and it’s only been 25 days.
