You Are the Rarest Gem in Boucheron’s New High Jewelry Collection

With five jewelry sets and over 14,000 hours of work prove humans make the greatest art
Maison Boucheron has a blank slate, and it is using it to showcase the most precious gem of all: the human being.
From creative director Claire Choisne comes the fifth annual Carte Blanche collection, featuring five jewelry sets that highlight both the qualities that bring humanity together and those that make each of us unique. In keeping with the collection’s theme, the maison’s approach places the human being at its center as the most precious subject of all.

Each of the five sets consists of a necklace and a ring, though these are no ordinary pieces. At the heart of every set is a cluster necklace, with grouped stones forming a unified composition that is impossible to look away from. It is the archetypal High Jewelry necklace, representing the common denominator of what unites us.

After more than 14,000 hours spent crafting the collection across all five sets, artisans from a variety of disciplines left their mark on this extraordinary body of work. However, that is where the similarities end, as each set differs in its charm, color, and materials. Variations in material, volume, gemstones, and light represent individual differences, giving each set its own distinct identity.
This marks another year in which legendary jeweler Claire Choisne has demonstrated her ability to reinvent the Carte Blanche collection. Her previous work, from 2024’s Or Bleu, which explored increasing water scarcity, to 2025’s Impermanence, which addressed the disappearance of nature, is a testament to her vision.

This year’s Carte Blanche collection, Human Being, builds on Choisne’s past work by celebrating humanity in an increasingly artificial world. With her deep appreciation for the mastery and craftsmanship that only human hands can achieve, Choisne affirms that human creativity is the crown jewel of Maison Boucheron.
