YSL Beauty Celebrates New “Y” Fragrance with The Surf Lodge Takeover
Tropical scent Y Eau de Toilette calls for a coastal Hamptons getaway, and Yves Saint Laurent knows just the place
The pondside deck of Montauk’s The Surf Lodge is home to dreamy waterfront views and elaborate local dining, and the luxurious Hamptons getaway has finally met its match. With a glamorous summer visit to the coastal destination, YSL Beauty celebrated the launch of their “Y” Eau de Toilette with an exclusive retail takeover, fit with celebrity performances and a personalized shopping experience for its Hamptons-going guests.
Inspired by singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz, the brand’s fragrance ambassador of two years, the newly revamped scent represents innate self-expression and individuality, channeling nature with notes of French lavender, geranium, and woody incense. With visuals to match, its charming blue hue alludes to the wind and sea—flaunting its vivid, earthy essence even from the shelf.
This weekend’s beachside launch was true to the fragrance in every way. Engraved wood logs sat beside emblemed trunks and YSL surfboards, with elaborate displays and bold brand graphics covering the venue, wall to wall. Aside from a standard array of cocktails and treats, the four-day event featured custom bottle engravings onsite, and a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for the celebrated scent. And it wouldn’t be a milestone weekend without a show—as each night culminated in a guest performance featuring the likes of Chelsea Cutler, Shallou, and Zedd.
It’s not too late to have your own version of the luxurious beachside escape; “Y” Eau de Toilette is available now.
