Yung Lean Steps into the Art World of Stockholm

The Swedish rapper opens his first exhibit, ‘Collected Works 2016-2026,’ a collection of visual art.
Jonatan Leandoer Håstad, famously known as Yung Lean, makes his entrance into the art world with a voluminous exhibition of his collected works, circa 2016-2026. The artist steps outside his usual medium and into visual art. The exhibit is a cumulative collection from the last ten years.
On the sidelines of his growing music career, Yung Lean has been creating art much of it never seen before. His self-taught style ranges from paintings and collages to sculptures and dioramas. Following the exhibit some of the pieces will be up for auction, a coveted opportunity for fans and art enthusiasts alike. The exhibition will take place at Torsgatan 22 in Stockholm, Sweden, running from Sept. 25 to Oct. 11.

Yung Lean first emerged as a leading figure of the “cloud rap” movement in the 2010s. It’s a genre that continues to evolve, taking new shape today with newer names: Fakemink, Feng, Bladee. Yung Lean has consistently found overlap between his music, art, and fashion. Art now becomes a definitive component within his career, the exhibit a vulnerable declaration of his artistry.
