With all the recent buzz and bustle in the fashion industry headquarters, Gap unveils a new segment of the brand—GapStudio.

Launched April 3rd, GapStudio Collection 01 was designed in Gap’s New York headquarters by the newly appointed Gap Inc. Creative Director, Zac Posen. With just one year as Executive Vice President and Creative Director of Gap Inc., Posen is shaking up the Gap scene, expanding the brand beyond its classics, and establishing its place within the fashion industry.

“For over 55 years, Gap has been a canvas for creativity, allowing creators to reinvent Gap classics as personal expressions of style. Now with GapStudio, we’re taking that legacy to the next level,” says Mark Breitbard, Gap brand President and CEO. “GapStudio creates both accessible, coveted retail collections and exclusive, one-of-a-kind designs that celebrate self-expression and solidify Gap’s place in culture.”

We know Gap as a traditional American staple, but under Posen’s vision, with over 25 years in the fashion industry and a specialty in couture in his back pocket, the designer spotlights the artisanal, quality fashion of the Gap brand with GapStudio. To this first collection, Zac Posen brings his vision for drapery, tailoring, and construction, lending his thoughtful craftsman eye to experiment with denim fabrics. A tailored denim trench coat, sailor-style denim skorts and pants, and a double-breasted denim blazer—the collection finds itself leaning into a classy Canadian tuxedo.

Additionally, the campaign is modelled by three of the greats: Anok Yai—and two of V’s V153 Spring cover stars!—Alex Consani, and Imaan Hammam.

“GapStudio is where craftsmanship, creativity, and culture come together. Inside Gap’s New York HQ, we’ve built a creative studio where I’ve designed looks for the red carpet, and where we’ll continue to collaborate with visionary talent in the future,” says Zac Posen, Gap Inc. Executive Vice President and Creative Director. “GapStudio Collection 01 reflects that vision — blending tailoring with innovative denim treatments that sculpt and refine the fabric in new ways. This is just the beginning.”

GapStudio Collection 01 launches globally on gap.com, and in select U.S. stores and international markets beginning April 3rd, 2025.
