Against a saturated Italian coastal backdrop with a beloved bang-ed Zendaya at the foreground, the newest Louis Vuitton X Takashi Murakami re-edition collection has V asking, “Am I dreaming?”

Chapter three of the adored collaboration between the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and the French fashion House Louis Vuitton is the blueprint for the word ‘iconic.’ Marking the 20th anniversary of the two’s partnership, the collection toasts the arrival of summer, welcoming the unmistakably Murakami Cherry motif back to the House for Louis Vuitton’s 2025 Resort collection.

Beginning their relationship with the symbolically Y2K candy-colored monogram over two decades ago in spring 2003, it’s safe to say their collaboration has earned several spots in the fashion archives’ hall of fame. Now, capping their latest anthology of campaigns, the smiling Murakami Cherry paints the leather, pulses the heart, and grounds the heel of the spirited finale.

The kawaii charm of the Cherry is irresistible—the classic Speedy bag, an embroidered blue denim pochette, and 3D cherry kitten heel sandals—the motif details each one of the 70-piece collection. The vibrancy of the Murakami spirit refreshes the Louis Vuitton classics, for an all-inclusive feeling of summer escapism.

Through the lens of Dutch photographers, Inez and Vinoodh, Zendaya is caught enjoying a cinematic day at the Italian beach with batches of the giant Cherry emblems in cherry-kissed lips and a cherry-drenched one-piece. As a Louis Vuitton House Ambassador, thrice the actress has fronted this celebratory collaboration, gracing us first in the vibrant candy monogram, then in blooming blossoms for spring, and now in cherry-red for this summer’s highly anticipated campaign.

Chapter Three of Louis Vuitton X Murakami is launching worldwide on May 22nd, 2025.
