Andra Day just dropped her latest single, “Phone Dies” produced by musical mastermind, Anderson .Paak. The tuneful collaboration features .Paak’s trademark ass-shaking beats and good vibes in an electrosoul fusion of combined talents. 

Day soulfully croons, “It’s so amazing, being my baby. I’ll let you feel these vibes until my phone dies” (relatable in these socially distanced times) in an enchanting lead into the catchy Afrobeat-filled chorus. It’s fun, it’s fresh, it’s high energy —  everything we’re collectively craving right now.

This is an incredible year for Day, this single marking just one of her many recent accolades. She is hot off her critically acclaimed performance as Billie Holiday in Lee Daniels’ The United States vs. Billie Holiday that landed her a Golden Globe win and an Oscar nomination. The Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter was also featured on the cover of V128.
