Following the launch of its Barocko jewelry line, the Roman luxury brand Bvlgari is coming to us with a new collaborative capsule. Dubbed “Serpenti Through the Eyes of Ambush”, the new range of limited-edition handbags and accessories is produced in partnership with Yoon, the brilliant woman at the forefront of a new wave of female designers and founder of Japanese label Ambush. Having grown up with a pop culture that molded her open mind and diverse creativity, Yoon is famed for her real-life inspired creations with a high-end touch. With this new venture, she wants to challenge herself while expressing the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti.

“Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature, but with Bvlgari, they also became a symbol of glamour in constant evolution,” Yoon explains. “It’s natural beauty-meets-human creation, all guided by a contemporary aesthetic.”

The Ambush x Bvlgari collection comes as an unprecedented interpretation of the timeless Serpenti Forever bag, the House’s unquestionable icon of glamour. Inspired by the Tree Python of South East Asia, Yoon also designed three new styles: the Serpenti shoulder bag, the versatile Serpenti belt bag and the Serpenti Minaudière. Each style is adorned with a camouflaged monochromatic snakehead closure — also embellished with mother-of-pearl and black onyx eyes for a refreshing and modern twist.

Yoon’s urban-glam touch also extends to an eclectic array of accessories: a heart-shaped coin case, three different credit card holders printed with the BVLGARI AMBUSH lettering and a three-coil bracelet in coloured Nappa Leather and metallic snakehead complement the collection with their cutting-edge flair. Models Bella Hadid, Xiao Wen Ju and Ellen Rosa all star in the digital campaign, shot by Tyler Mitchell and styled by Carlos Nazario.

Once more, the Bvlgari snake amazes and surprises.”
