Carolina Herrera’s FW 2022 Collection: Dresses, Bows, And Ruffles Galore

Carolina Herrera’s Fall/Winter 2022 Collection premiered in New York City with dress, jumpsuit, and ball-gown skirt compositions throughout.

Carolina Herrera’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection recently debuted on February 14th, notably recognized as the day of love. The exhibition featured exquisite silhouettes, extravagant pieces, and saw models grace the runway while a rendition of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor played throughout and enveloped the room.

The collection specifically included above-the-knee, knee-length, and nearly floor-length dresses, jumpsuits, off-the-shoulder gowns, their respective ball-skirts, with lavish trains, avant-garde ensembles, and more. Ruffles and bows showcased themselves as part of some garments’ inner workings. Its color palette embodied warmth and brightness with hues ranging from canary yellow to black to vermillion and shade fusions like violet and fire hydrant red.

This collection’s dress assemblage reflects part of the Carolina Herrera ethos. The fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection, which served as an homage to the bright and busy metropolis that is New York City, had striking gowned pieces representing its lively, distinct energy and highlighted throughout its campaign video. In a press statement, Carolina Herrera’s Creative Director Wes Gordon expressed his sentiments about the collection, citing the roots of its influence. “I was inspired by the effervescent attitude of New Yorkers — especially the very New Yorkers that form the heartbeat of our atelier in the garment district,” he wrote. The Carolina Herrera elegant tenor distinctive within its Fall/Winter 2022 collection is no different.
