DSquared2 have enlisted Cher for their SS20 campaign and it was shot by legendary photographers Mert and Marcus. The black and white image shows Cher dressed in DSquared2’s latest collection. Only one image has been released so far but we stan it hard and can’t wait to see what’s to follow.

Founders Dan and Dean Caten made the announcement yesterday via Instagram. They confirmed that the Creative Director for the shoot was Giovanni Bianco who worked with Hair Artist, Serena Radaelli and Make-Up Artist, Isamaya Ffrench.
In the shot we see Cher wearing an off-the-shoulder jumper emblazoned with the word ‘ICON’ and distressed denim jeans. Gazing away from the camera her long black hair dances in an imaginary breeze and, it’s hard to believe that she’s 73.

Cher has been influencing pop culture and fashion for decades so it’s no surprise to see her as the face of a global brand. The icon looks right at home in the DSquared2 campaign. Cher has also previously fronted a Marc Jacobs campaign back in 2015.

Ahead of yesterday’s announcement, Cher took to Twitter and teased fans, she wrote, “Am I Going To Be In Time ? .” in a cryptic clue that alludes to the DSqaured2 billboards. Upon seeing the campaign one Cher fan wrote, ‘ OMG!!!!! Too awesome !!! I am SO buying that icon top!!!” while another posted, ‘Absolutely “STUNNING’ ❗?❤???.’
