Vegan fashion can be fun too.

Vegan fashion has been a hot topic as of late. After decades of PETA protests consisting of everything from crashing the Victoria's Secret fashion show, throwing “blood” on designer garments, and staging theatrical displays of activism outside of designer stores, the movement to end the use of animal products in luxury fashion is finally catching serious momentum. Plus, the technology behind vegan fashion has never been better, allowing for unique products that some traditional apparel just can’t compare to.

There is the recent superstar designer Telfar Clemens who made waves with his vegan designer bag, Stella McCartney, who has sworn off all animal products in her designs, and a wide variety of smaller brands making a big impact on both aesthetics and what is considered luxury materials.

Whether it's made from apples, mycelium, bananas, cork, grapes, rubber, pineapples, or just plain plastic, the way designers have been playing with these materials has become more celebrated and cutting-edge than ever before.

So if you’re shopping for your favorite vegan this holiday season, consider these high fashion gifts that will not only help save the world but make whoever you buy them for more stylish.
