MISBHV x Reebok Celebrate Their Sportswear Launch

An 80s-themed range celebrated in a short film by up-and-coming Polish filmmaker Natalia Dolgowska.

To mark the launch of its 80s-themed #throwback sportswear range for Reebok, MISBHV has released a three-minute-long music/documentary film hybrid. Directed by up-and-coming Polish filmmaker Natalia Dolgowska and edited by the Oscar-nominated Przemyslaw Chruścielewski, the project is bringing together a unique, pan-European cast of community leaders and celebrates individual freedom via the primal honesty of dance — all under the gentle guidance of renowned Polish movement director and choreographer Pat Bogusławski.

The project sees a diverse cast of performers and activists, including French model, author and first openly transgender Playboy playmate Ines Rau, Mauritian model and activist Raya Martigny, British dancers Demi Rox and Zakiya Wellington, Dutch model Lucette Van Beek and Polish dancers Zuza Matusiak and Nikola Pośnik. The result? A short film that celebrates body, modern femininity and empowerment while simultaneously offering a pungent commentary on the current sociopolitical climate in Eastern Europe.

One can also see a brief cameo from 58-year-old techno pioneer and founder of the iconic International Deejay Gigolos Records DJ Hell. It’s worth noticing that the film is also soundtracked by “Copa” — the DJ’s recent release that came out earlier this year via MISBHV Recordings.
