Missoma x Harris Reed Launch New Collaborative Jewelry Collection

Starting from a conversation during the lockdown to becoming a new collection of “jewelry for everyone”.

In celebration of self-expression, the collection features 49 new demi-fine pieces made from recycled sterling silver, 18 karat gold vermeil, and gold plating, and 15 new fine pieces refined in solid recycled gold, blue sapphire, and white and black diamonds. This partnership is the fashion designer’s first time venturing into the world of jewelry, which is timely during September’s Fashion Month.

Missoma x Harris Reed began in lockdown through many Zoom calls between Reed and the founder, CEO, and creative director of Missoma, Marisa Hordern. An untraditional design process, Reed wanted the collection to emulate “Romanticism Gone Binary,” and together, the two created many pieces with gothic themes from “the old world” that have been adapted for the future, representing fluidity and inclusivity. Some of the pieces are rings, necklaces, earrings, and rings that include the dual-gender butterfly, star and moon charms, serpents, daggers, gemstones, and lockets that are reminiscent of London’s Royal Opera House, the prices ranging from $64 to $8,396.

“As a designer who mostly works with demi-couture and VIP clients, not everyone can buy a Harris Reed gown,” Reed said in a statement. “But they can have a Harris Reed x Missoma gold necklace or ring to keep for years and years to come. This is my way of being able to give everyone a little bit of the Harris Reed fantasy.”

Looking to constantly renovate the jewelry world and stand out, Reed designed this collection to help us embrace fluidity and accept our true selves in Missoma’s Year of Self-Expression.

“After over a year inside, the time really is now to make the everyday our stage,” Hordern said in a statement. “Everyone has the right to express themselves any way they want to, and we hope Harris Reed x Missoma will help people be whoever they want to be. This collection is all about acceptance and inclusivity through our deeply symbolic pieces, given the romantic opulence and gothic chic that comes with all things Harris.”
