The 74th edition of the Cannes Festival wrapped up on Saturday, after a couple of weeks filled with some of the most anticipated film releases, great looks, and breezy encounters. Italian director was awarded an Honorary Palme d’Or at the Closing Ceremony, joining Jodie Foster, whose career had been celebrated with the prize at the Opening Ceremony.
Sharon Stone presented this year’s coveted Palme d’Or to Julia Ducournau’s Titane – making the director only the second woman to win the award in 74 years. Out of 24 films, only four female-directed productions were selected for Competition this year.
