Roberto Cavalli’s F/W 2022 Collection: Signature Styles With A Twist
Roberto Cavalli’s F/W 2022 collection showcases the luxury fashion house’s classic fashions through a contemporary lens.
Roberto Cavalli’s F/W 2022 womenswear collection highlighted the luxury fashion house’s and creative consultant Fausto Puglisi’s vision for the brand since assuming the position. In an interview with Kevin Ponce for V, Puglisi expressed his sentiments about his then first collection citing “the world is changing and the woman is changing. I wanted to give Cavalli a much more modern feel. I wanted it to be larger than life I like sexy frocks but I also like beautiful long flared skirts and I love masculine shirts and biker jackets on women. I wanted it to be an expression of different women because now there is not just one [type of] woman anymore. Now, women are much more independent. They like to have fun with fashion and mix and match different things. So I decided to create a wardrobe for a woman and not design a woman. I hate designers that feel the need to [create] a woman.”
This season’s one is no different and remains in line with Puglisi’s sentiments and direction shared last year September. The collection featured Roberto Cavalli’s signature animal prints from head to toe as part of its outerwear coats, capes, and tunics. The collection also entailed moto jackets and its accompanying skirt pieces along with various (cut out) dress styles, and three-dimensional multicolored and striking gold floral details on some of the collection’s articles.
Its cohesive color palette showcased one of those of yellow speckled with mahogany, black, and serpent green hues which fuse to embody the collection’s visual conceptualization. The assemblage also debuted shimmering looks that flashed with every move as models strode the runway.
