Ruslan Baginskiy Unveils Breezy Summer Collection

Sonya Gorelova stars in the new campaign with multi-functional styles.

After stunning the world with his meticulously crafted headpieces in the Haute Couture project ‘TSVIT’ and a soft Christmas collection, Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginskiy is back with a breezy summer set. The newly released campaign celebrates the warmth and joy of the season with model Sonya Gorelova, marking her return to the fashion industry after a years-long break.

The summer collection emphasizes functionality and minimalism, with a diverse range of hats that come in mostly neutral colors and earthy tones. Wide-brim models, lampshade bucket hats, boater hats, and berets come in light materials such as straw, cotton, and linen.

Hats are decorated with chains, pearl lines, leather, and metal RB monograms, with many of the features serving multiple functions: chains can be detached and worn as necklaces or bracelets, while other pierced and removable details also double as brooches.

The collection also features unusual accessories for the label – a light cotton headscarf embellished with pearl tassels at the corners, and an asymmetrical cotton wrap with a leather shoulder strap.

One thing Baginskiy often does is bring to his collections models inspired by signature styles of certain time periods, translating iconic designs to be used in a new era. For this project, he brought back the 1920s cloche hat, now reimagined a century later in straw for a fresh summer look.

In terms of patterns, two eye-catching designs feature different motifs: a bucket hat comes in a tie-dye looking moss-green shade, while a floral motif was applied to the label’s signature Baker Boy cap – the same style previously worn by celebrities like Bella Hadid and Taylor Swift.
