Prosthetics, capes, and pussy-bows—the 2026 Met Gala theme, “Costume Art,” pushed the best-dressed men into avant-garde territory

The most important Monday of the year comes at the beginning of May, when the world’s biggest celebrities, designers, stylists, hair stylists, and makeup artists gather together. For months, creatives devote themselves to planning, designing, sewing, and styling for the annual Met Gala, a night of opulent fashion and art celebration. With high stakes, often, there’s one shared ambition: landing a spot on the Met Gala “Best Dressed” list. This year’s theme, “Costume Art”, gave way to some of the most ambitious and avant-garde looks yet!

Below, VMAN has listed the best-dressed men of the 2026 Met Gala.


Coleman Domingo Wears Valentino

Coleman Domingo stunned the carpet in a custom Valentino suit created for him by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. As if painted, the pleated chiffon jacket features a color-blocked woven pattern, inspired by the iconic Valentino harlequin motif. It’s paired with black wool bootcut trousers featuring red bead- and sequin-embroidered side bands.


Connor Storrie

At his first Met Gala, VMAN cover boy, Connor Storrie, wore a Saint Laurent extra-long lavallière polka-dot top draped behind him. The top was paired with Saint Laurent high-rise dress pants, Roman boots, and a minimalistic belt.

Heated Rivalry‘s Hudson Williams wore a custom Torero Trompe-l’oeil Collar Jacket and matching light blue pants by Balenciaga. For accessories, Williams complemented his suit with BVLGARI jewels—the high jewelry diamond necklace and high jewelry diamond ring.

As a Chanel Ambassador, A$AP Rocky arrived dressed in a custom look by Matthieu Blazy himself. The rapper wore a pink wool tuxedo robe from Chanel with black satin detailing. To accessorize, Rocky wore a stack of bejeweled necklaces hung over his bowtie and an apple-shaped bag worn on his wrist.

VMAN cover star Sombr wore a Valentino hand-embroidered tulle-and-chiffon cape. Underneath, his trousers featuring the same degradé embroidery complement the cape and come paired with a lamé lace top.

Love Story leading man, Paul Anthony Kelly, arrived at his first Met Gala dressed in Jonathan Anderson’s Dior. He opted for a burgundy velvet and silk, shawl-collar tailcoat, paired with a white pleated cotton shirt, black wool pants, and black patent leather derbies. He also wore a Dior Haute Joaillerie ring and brooch.

F1’s Damson Idris arrived on the Met steps in Prada, wearing a custom black leather coat with red poplin tuxedo cuff detailing, layered over an antiqued red leather top with black leather trousers and lace-ups.


Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny arrived at the Met looking three times his age! Inspired by this year’s Costume Institute exhibition theme, “The Aging Body,” world-renowned prosthetic makeup artist Mike Marino created the singer’s hyper-realistic transformation. Additionally, Bad Bunny wore a custom Zara look—a continuation of the partnership from his Super Bowl Halftime performance—featuring a monochromatic black suit and a dramatic pussy bow. The singer completed the look with Cartier jewelry, including an archival 1995 watch.

Thom Browne dressed Finn Wolfhard in a deconstructed black wool-and-white silk faille jacket, white wool trousers, and a utility skirt belt, paired with wingtip boots.
