‘To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You’ is here

The Netflix original that stole the hearts of us all is back, and is not playing around!

Netflix just released the much-anticipated sequel to it’s 2018 hit To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. As if the saga hadn’t received enough praise from the first film, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, released on February 12th, has received a 100% on rotten tomatoes, and we can absolutely see why.

While avoiding any spoilers, the plot can be described as exactly what you would expect, an adolescent yet eerily relatable love story that focuses on the seemingly never-ending boy struggles of teenaged Lara Jean (Lana Candor). Though the plot itself may not contain as many twists or jaw-dropping scenes as one would typically look for in a film, the likeability of characters like Lara Jean, her younger sister Kitty (Anna Cathcart), or her glamorous new friend Stormy (Holland Taylor), certainly keep your heart warmed throughout the film.

Just like when watching it’s original, you will find yourself rooting for the lovable Lara Jean the entire time. Her character development is complete with a new sense of maturity and self-assurance, not to mention the incredible level-up in her already coveted style and dreamy bedroom we all know we wish we had growing up.

For the sake of giving readers the chance to watch the plot unfold themselves, all left to be said is that this film is located at the perfect intersection between guilty pleasure tweenage rom-com and whimsical daydream. Between the carefully curated playlist (which is a necessary listen), the stunning set design, and the adorably styled LJ outfits, this movie will bring out the 16-year-old girl in all of us.
