Exclusive: Swarovski Celebrates 130 Years with the Vienna Collection

A limited 11-piece set of luminous crystal designs inspired by the majesty of the Swan

The Austrian house honors 130 years of legacy with the launch of the Vienna Collection, unveiled exclusively with V. The collection is composed of 11 limited pieces designed by Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert and is directly inspired by the Swan emblem. Known as a symbol of grace, beauty, and transformation, the Swan appears throughout in abstract forms that suggest feathers, wings, and flight.

As Engelbert explains, “The transformative power of crystal has always captivated me. As Global Creative Director, my vision has been to infuse our world with wonder, to translate Swarovski’s legacy into creations that spark emotion and self-expression. Celebrating 130 years of joyful extravagance, creativity, and savoir-faire, I’m proud to mark this milestone with collections and experiences that invite everyone to express their boldest, most radiant selves.”

The name of the collection pays tribute to Vienna, the city that influenced Daniel Swarovski when he founded the brand in 1895. The designs highlight Swarovski’s craftsmanship through a combination of clear crystals and dark ruthenium accents that create a contrast. Key pieces include chokers, ear cuffs shaped like layered feathers, and a Swan pendant created with the brand’s patented “sparkling dance” technique, which gives the illusion of constant movement. Pavé settings and baguette-cut stones are used to emphasize detail and texture. The result is a collection that is both classical and contemporary.

By returning to it’s origins, Engelbert situates the anniversary collection as a continuation of tradition and also builds on Swarovski’s recent cultural presence. Earlier this year at the Met Gala, Engelbert attended with Alex Consani, Adut Akech, and Sora Choi, who each wore custom pieces inspired by the new designs, offering an early preview of the collection.
