BOSS x Russell Athletic Collection Scores a Home Run at Milan Fashion Week

The baseball-themed fashion show was nothing short of fun.

The second BOSS x Russell Athletic collection debuted earlier today at the Kennedy Sport Center in Milan for Fashion Week with an iconic group of models to walk such as Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Cindy Bruna, and more. Depicting a baseball-themed environment, the show was as close to a big game as it gets, complete with food trucks, mascots, and cheerleaders.

The collection included all types of athletic-influenced apparel, such as varsity jackets, track pants, blazers, beanies, crewnecks, sweatpants, hoodies, and more. Staying generally within a more neutral color palette, there were occasional pops of orange and blue, mostly sticking to nude, black, and white colors. This collaboration was simple, but nowhere near boring—each piece seems extremely fun and would work to wear to a variety of events, both on the day to day and to actually attend a game in.

On the neutral side, some of the lighter pieces include the nude hoodie and sweatpants set with “Boss Athletics” written on the front, the layered gray blazer and shirt with a beanie, the long nude overcoat, the simple white tee under a white jacket with casual white trousers, and the black sweatpants with the white sports bra look, paired with a plaid puffer jacket.

Some of the brighter pieces included the baseball-inspired shirt, worn over a bright orange hoodie, the reoccurring orange hoodie under a plaid overcoat with matching trousers, the blue fuzzy coat over a hoodie and blue pants, and the bright orange shorts worn with a white beanie, white crop top, and a varsity jacket.

Of course, this collection wouldn’t be complete without accessories, down to the “BA” logoed socks. There were all sorts of bags worn to match the clothing, like backpacks, fanny packs, and gym bags in orange and blue. Additionally, there were whistles worn around the neck in some of the looks, lanyards with a small cardholder and “BA” varsity letter symbols, and several bucket hats that matched the looks they were accompanying.

This collection is daring and somewhat simple, but overall, fun. BOSS x Russell Athletic aimed to create an uplifting, colorful but neutral collection of clothing to wear while walking down the street or to your favorite team’s game, and they did just that. Watch the full show below.
