Fall is basically here, and with the leaves turning the golden brown soon, the temperatures will also be dropping. It’s no secret that we have to completely revamp our skincare routines every fall and winter to account for our skin becoming dryer—for the face, you can usually add an extra serum and an oil, and you’ll be good to go. But for the body, another step can be taken, and that’s adding a body scrub in the shower.

Body scrubs exfoliate the skin to make it softer and get rid of any dead skin cells. Choosing the right one is crucial, because the scrub should be gentle enough that it won’t irritate the skin, but robust enough that it will still exfoliate. Even though scrubs are particularly helpful in colder weather, they should be used all year round, especially before shaving.
